Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat is cutting the ribbon on his so-called Streamer University at the University of Akron.
Cenat confirmed the location during his first livestream while welcoming "students." According to Cenat, Streamer University will allow content creators to gather at a college campus and have the opportunity to showcase their personalities and nascent brands, as well as meet other internet hopefuls.
In a livestream earlier this month, Cenat said the "university" was open for everyone to apply, and he would review online applications on his YouTube channel.
On May 18, he took to social media to reveal the full Class of 2025, which included some 120 content creators either eager to boost their own brands or hopeful for a guest spot on Cenat's closely watched videos.
Cenat, 23, is a Twitch and YouTube star with a massive online following. He was among Rolling Stone's 20 most influential creators in 2023 and is known for pulling off viral pranks and inviting big-name guests onto his standup comedy-laced livestreams.
